HSF Garage is a new venture of the Hillsborough Schools Foundation (HSF).  Our mission is to raise funds for schools by the recycling and resale of high end consumer goods, products and services. To maximize our fundraising efforts , we first sell our items on our new HSF site at www.hillsboroughtogether.com.  The site is for Hillsborough residents only.  It's free and easy to sign up.  

Letter from the Co-presidents of the Hillsborough Schools Foundation:

Dear Hillsborough Parents and Community Members,

The Hillsborough Schools Foundation (HSF) is excited to announce a new fundraising venture that will offset state and county budget cuts to our schools, and hopefully grow into a steady,long-term revenue stream.  Introducing HSF Garage, an online resale repository for all of your high-end household goods.  The HSF Garage team will come pick up your high-end clothing, furniture, unopened gifts, etc. and sell them online, to raise money for our schools.

Please take a moment to set aside those items that you no longer have room for, and contact one of our team members at your school to schedule a pick-up.   All donations are tax deductible. On the right hand side of this page, please see a list of items we would love to collect.  Please click on "Items not accepted" for a list of things that we are sorry but we cannot accept at this time.

We’ll be doing more donation drives for specific items over the course of the year.  If you are a season ticket holder to baseball, football, basketball, symphony, opera, or the theater, and cannot use your tickets, please consider donating them to HSF Garage.  We’ll sell them online and donate the funds to the Hillsborough Schools Foundation (HSF).

Additionally, if you have a time-share that you cannot use, or a vacation home that is sitting empty at certain times during the year, please consider donating it to HSF Garage.  We’ll make it available to Hillsborough Residents only – to raise money for our schools.

Finally, if you are aware of upcoming estate sales in Hillsborough, please let us know of any items that could be donated to benefit our schools.

Items we can accept: 

If you have items to donate - please click here to reach our contact form.  We will be happy to come and collect from your home or arrange a convenient drop-off location. This is our pilot phase and we are starting slowly.  Preferred donations, include:

• Clean, good-quality high-end clothing
• Unopened gifts (e.g. perfume)
• Tickets to sports games, museums or other events
• Gift Certificates
• Jewelry or valuable china
• Computer games
• Unopened wine and spirits
• Timeshare or vacation home rentals
• Art and decorative items
• Anything you think would be worth more than $50.00

The key to the success of this venture is that we focus on items that sell and will raise funds for our schools.

Items we cannot accept:

We hope you understand that our goal is raise money for our schools.  Some items don't sell.  It will be up to the discretion of our HSF Garage team to determine at the time of your donation if your item meets our criteria for resale. Other items may have potential liabilities that we cannot accept.  We do hope to broaden our list of accepted items and look forward to your feedback and suggestions. In particular, recent legislation has made it difficult to resell toys and gear for children aged 12 and under.  Until we have clarified the legislation, we sadly cannot accept these items.
